The SAT Test (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a college admissions test. The SAT Reasoning Test is the general college entrance exam and covers basic knowledge of high school coursework. The SAT Subject Tests cover specific coursework.

The SAT Reasoning Tests or Subject Tests are accepted by nearly every college in the U.S. The ACT Test is the other major college entrance exam. You will need to decide which test to take depending on the colleges you apply to.
